Ways to get involved

Attend a P&C Meeting

Come along to a meeting; meet the team, meet the teachers, contribute to the conversation and listen to the Principal’s report. Everyone is welcome, no commitment or obligation to get involved. The meetings are your chance to have your views heard and to learn about what is happening at the school. If you have an item for the agenda please let us know.

Join the P&C as a Member

We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic people to lend a hand and get involved - at all levels. Membership is by gold coin donation and as a Member you get a vote!

Become a Class Parent (class social coordinator)

Be the first to get involved in class activities and is a great way to meet other parents. The P&C provide all you need, your job is simply to promote activities to your class and help foster an inclusive school community.

Volunteer at an event

The P&C run events throughout the year to engender a community spirit as well as to raise funds. We always need people to cook sausages, bake cakes and help set-up and pack-away. Put your hand up prior to the event, or if you see we need a hand on the day just introduce yourself and pitch-in!

Volunteer your skills - Plumbing, knitting, etc.

We often need people with specific skills to lend a hand - arts and crafts, building, handyman (person), painting, audio visual, event coordination, mariting, communications. Volunteering your skills is as good as donating money, it is money we don’t have to spend and more than likely your contribution will support us to deliver better fundraising activities.

Help with the Bush Tucker Garden (Hewlett St)

The Bush Tucker Gardent was planted in 2019 with the support of the P&C and IndigiGrow as a teaching resource and community garden. No neeed to ask if you can help, just pull out some weeds or water it if it looks dry while you wait for your kids at the end of the day, after drop-off, or on the weekends. We would love any help, advice or donations of native plants (ESBC plant species & Bush Tucker species).

Help with the Vegetable Garden (Hewlett St)

The Vege Garden is maintained by xxx and available as a teaching resource as well as a community garden for local residents.

Help manage the school Pick-Up Zone

Contact the school office to volunteer to help with the pick-up zone to keep kids safe and reduce grid-lock on Hewlett St.

Donate to, or volunteer in, the Second Hand Uniform Shop

All it takes is a few hours every other week. It’s fun and social - and you get the pick of the best clothes! :)

Join the Parents Rock Band

We are always on the look-out for parents with a music background to help with the band school band, or join the Parent’s Band ‘Lost Property’.

Support the music or arts program

The school is always on the look-out for people who can help out with the kids band, help with theatre or train their voices. Maybe you play (or used to play) an instrument, have taught music in the past, or maybe you used to be an international superstar? The kids need you.
